Steven & Michelle’s wedding was such a lovely and intimate affair with friends, family and laughter! Their nuptials took place at the home of the sister of the groom in Blowing Rock. Set atop a mountain, the space was perfect for this laid back and fun affair. The day began with the ladies getting ready over beverages and tunes, while the mother of the groom and other family members setup decor and prepped for the big event. From the backdrop to the dress to the flowers and decor, Steven & Michelle’s wedding was nothing less than elegant.
They exchanged vows on terraced landscaping tucked into the trees with their family and friends gathered around informally to witness the union of these two lovebirds. One of the most memorable parts of the day was the first dances on the back veranda overlooking the Blue Ridge mountains. These were followed by a sunset Bride & Groom session (which are my absolute favorite!).
Nothing and no one was left out of this wedding. The couple’s dogs were included in the ceremony and the reception included a garter and bouquet toss, DIY photobooth, the shoe game, fireworks AND a confetti exit. Oh my! All the while friends and family laughed and enjoyed the cool evening of late-summer in the High Country.
I’m so thrilled for Steven & Michelle who were so laid back and jovial! And a special thanks to the hosts and coordinators of this big day Erica & Regina–they put on a fantastic event!
