Last month I had the pleasure of working with a Jessica & Kevin on their big day here in Boone, NC. Their wedding was filled with laughter, funny faces and tons of emotion. I arrived early so as to have plenty of time to photograph ALL the details, of which, Jessica had curated many! From stacks of books to Chuck Taylors, to quiet and subtle details sewn into her wedding dress itself, Jessica & Kevin’s wedding was personalized just for them. Add a good dose of dynamic and charismatic friends and family and you get one STELLAR event!
This was her special tribute to those who couldn’t be with her on her big day. Jessica had sewn into her dress this little patch containing two coins, one of which her grandfather carried around every day of his life. I got teary eyed when she told me this story…
Jessica & Kevin opted for a first look, which is one of my personal favorite touches. Being able to capture this moment adds a set of images that are as intimate as they are unforgettable <3
The day started out rather overcast and gray, but gave way to gorgeous sunlight for their sunset ceremony set against a backdrop of mountains. We followed the ceremony up with images of this unique and spunky bridal party before diving into a serious PAR-TAY at their reception!
I’m so thankful to be able to work with such fun and unique individuals and to have been able to be a part of their big day. I look forward to working with Jessica & Kevin again!
